Starbucks Goes Solar

Starbucks is making moves to go solar in many of their Texas stores.

They have partnered with a company called Cypress Creek, and they are working together to build a solar project large enough for 360 of their Texas stores.

This isn’t the first time Starbucks has invested in renewable energy either. Starbucks did a similar deal late last year in Illinois.

Chris Roetheli states, “Starbucks is taking a unique approach — investing in solar farms regionally to support a specific group of its stores,” Roetheli said in a statement. “This is a new concept and one that I think other companies are watching and may follow.”

We commend Starbucks for taking this initiative, and hope other large corporations follow in their lead.
