Woodstock Jewish Congregation
When we started SOLARgeneration is 2005, solar power was not nearly as mainstream as it is today. For the first couple of years, our customers were truly “early adopters.” Many of them felt a very strong desire to do something positive for the environment and looked to us to help them achieve their dreams.
Rabbi Jonathan Kligler and his wife Ellen were one the first people to put their trust in SOLARgeneration and became our second customers. Fast-forward several years and when Rabbi Kligler’s newly constructed Synagogue was completed, we knew we wanted to show our appreciation and offered to help with solar power.
In the summer of 2013, with the help of a New York State Grant, SOLARgeneration was happy to design and install a 10 kW solar array for The Woodstock Jewish Congregation free of charge. The array helps to power the Synagogue and can be seen as you walk in the front entrance. Since the installation, our donation has raised awareness in countless visitors and has saved the congregation nearly $3,000 in electric bills.
